tranSpeed RFID Long-Range Vehicle Identification
Vehicle Identification for all conditions
Long-range Vehicle Identification and Gate Access Made Easy
tranSpeed is a reliable long-range RFID vehicle identification and access control solution from Deister Electronics that quickly and automatically identifies drivers and vehicles in any weather condition.
Ideal for employee parking lots, garages, or gated communities, tranSpeed empowers free-flowing vehicle access control and reduces queues in entrances and exits. This automated vehicle identification and access solution simplifies the management of your available parking spaces by controlling vehicle’s entering and leaving the grounds. tranSpeed can be used as a standalone solution or seamlessly integrated with other systems
Choose from a wide range of transponders to reliably identify all vehicle types:
- Robust, heavy-duty transponders
- Self-adhesive stickers for windshields
- ISO cards that perfectly combine two reader technologies.
Benefits at a glance
Dual Technology
tranSpeed leverages dual technology to combine access control with driver and vehicle identification, all read by the same transponder.
Enhanced Security
All transponders use Deister Electronics’ encrypted “smart frame” technology to provide enhanced data security and vignette/stickers are tear-proof to eliminate risk of fraud.
Intuitive for Drivers
Our passive transponders or ultra-high frequency (UHF) readers have built-in LED indicators that light up when scanning an incoming vehicle. The system emits a distinctive audio signal, ensuring that drivers get visual and audible feedback.
Eliminate Guesswork
Deister Electronics’ patent pending Position Optimization Card (POC) helps determine optimal placement of the readers and transponders with integrated LEDs that display available levels of communication between the devices.
Smart Design
tranSpeed’s compact design with integrated antennas makes it possible to connect standard power and data lines to the readers with a single connector.
Focused on Quality
As with all Deister Electronics’ products, tranSpeed automated vehicle identification systems are designed and manufactured to meet the highest standards in safety and user experience.

Software Platform
Deister Electronics’ web-based software platform, Commander Connect, is extremely intuitive for easy administration of a connected and integrated system that can include tranSpeed long-range vehicle identification, key management, proof of visit, smart storage, access control and more.
With a SQL back end database, Commander Connect can work as a stand-alone system or scale to a corporate setup with a computer or virtual environment as space requirements change.
Leveraging the power of Commander Connect, tranSpeed can improve any facility’s vehicle identification and gate access systems.
Windshield Transponders
- Tear proof windshield stickers eliminate risk of fraud
- Affixed RRD stickers make it possible to reduce range 66 – 33%
- Accurate identification for varying vehicles at the same distance
- Adjustable antenna to optimize range as far as 22 feet (with TSU 200 reader)
- Encrypted deister “Smart frame” for added data security
- Self-adhesive with vignette/sticker function
TSU Readers
The tranSpeed portfolio of passive transponders has been specifically developed to be compatible with glass or metal without sacrificing range.
TSU UHF readers include extremely robust die-cast aluminum housing for a compact design with integrated antenna. The TSU200 boasts an upper range of 22 feet. The special layout (patent pending) of the antenna integrated in the ISO card creates immunity to the debilitating range reduction inherent in normal UHF cards when placed close to the human body. Dual technology cards are also available with near field and long-range credentials combined for increased operational efficiency.
Controllers & Converters
Controller unit is top-hat rail compatible and provides encrypted interfaces for readers and dry contact relays for RFID vehicle access, exit barriers and light signal control systems. Configuring authorization levels is made easy with Deister Electronics’ web-based software platform, Commander Connect (connected to the IDC 2 via an IP interface).
A converter decodes data received from a reader to a different format or protocol and integrates tranSpeed components into an existing system. deBUS protocol is used to encrypt communication on the input side and Wiegand, Data/Clock, Magstripe, RS232 and RS485 interfaces supported on the output side.
Installation Aid
Deister Electronics’ patent pending Position Optimization Card helps determine optimal placement of the readers and transponders by measuring UHF signal strength as you move the card around the inside windshield. Its embedded LED intensifies as the signal gets stronger, indicating optimal position to place the transponder.
